After two years of careful planning and development, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation/Radio Canada (CBC/R-C) have implemented Net Zero Media's emissions measurement platform - CarboniQ - an innovative and effective calculator for GHG emissions from the advertising component of their business.
The CarboniQ platform allows CBC/R-C to work with their agencies, clients and the wider
broadcasting industry to help reduce these carbon emissions.
The calculator has been configured and integrated into CBC/R-C’s workflow to:
- Make advertisers aware of the carbon footprint of their advertising campaigns.
- Provide a precise way to measure emissions from their TV and digital campaigns.
- Help establish common standards to support the industry's transition to carbon
neutrality.
